The H4 Protype uses the DOE Energy Smart Home Scale, short E-scale.  receiving a score of 49, which means that it is 51% more energy efficient than the average new home currently built in the United States .
This score is due to a very tight & highly insulated building envelope, a high efficiency heating, cooling & ventilation system, a high efficiency instant water heater, energy star rated appliances, water sense rated fixtures, as well as dimmer switches & occupancy sensors”….<More>
